Ohh yeah, this is just swell. It seems a few days back, a game crashed and reverted my colors to 4-bit and reset my pixels to 640x480. Okay, that wasn't so bad...but wait, what's this? I'm now being plagued by digital artifacts. And they only show up for games, internet browsers, flash programs, and movies and things played off my hard drive.
So, I have a friend and computer tech come out and take a look and give him the rundown of what happened after I had a House Patient moment...no, I will not elaborate. Anyway, at this point I have four possible options. I could reinstall DirectX and see if that works, I could uninstall the game because maybe it's screwing things up, I could reformat my hard drive and reinstall Windows and hop that works...or if all else fails, I can buy a new graphics card.
So, after the first two options fail, I'm left with backing up all the files I can and I end up reformatting my computer. I've said it before, it felt like lobotomizing my kid. But, I got everything back that I could get and now, at least, my comp is running smoothly. And the artifacts vanished!
...until about 1:10am. Then guess what came back? And worse than before.
Fuck my life.
So guess what I'm now gonna have to buy? After wiping my hard drive, too. *sighs* Fun times.

Today's Vin Diesel Fact
"An advanced alien race once created a computer that successfully explained the meaning of life; however, the alien race, their planet, and practically everything else ever to come in contact with them was immediately obliterated when they asked for an explanation of Vin Diesel."
