The Dark Sex God

Okay, for this I was trying a new style of photography. I waited until well after nightfall and then shut off all the lights in the place, even the ones on the other side of the house. The only light used was the candle that is on this picture.

I also used a black acrylic blanket to cover the recliner I was sitting in while using the black acrylic liner from my trench coat to cover the table that the candle was sitting on. I did this to cut down on any glare that might be thrown up and might blow the picture.

There's no manipulation in this photo.

Perhaps I should retake this picture after I've had a shave?

When I first uploaded my ID I just stuck it on straight from the scanner (after cleaning the glass as best I could) but the image was still shit. It lost a lot of contrast, had spots that drove me crazy and marks from the glass. It eventually became an eyesore for me every time I logged on and saw it.

Today I found the photo, rescanned it, and this time sent it to Photoshop where I was able to fix the contrast back to the way it should be and also managed to edit out the worst of the spots and specks (damn near all, actually). I'm much more pleased with this one, it looks much more professional and well done.

It's pretty much a whole new picture, so...needs a new title, don't you think? One to reflect my newfound smugness and ego. Bye bye "Candle Light ID" and hello "Dark Sex God".
